Gloria and Charles . Wedding

There’s nothing quite like a destination wedding. Family and closest of friends travel to a location away from home to celebrate the couple, but it always feels more like the couple is celebrating their family and friends. The focus is not on the production of what weddings usually are, but more on the people and interactions. Gloria and Charles’ wedding was just that. Some of my favorite parts about this wedding included a sushi chef making fresh sushi during cocktail hour (so delish!), the programs/place cards/party favors all handmade with love by the couple themselves, their “Cupid” praying for them at different points of the day, and Gloria keenly spotting a heart-shaped rock during their portraits.

Gloria and Charles, if that’s not a symbol that your marriage will be rock solid, I don’t know what is. ;)

  1. Gohgeous! Ok, maybe I’m a little biased hehe…but I loved the tropicalness of it all!

Her vibrant bouquet, the bridal party amongst the palm trees, the couple on the rocks in the crashing waves, the cake tablecloth blowing in the wind… You captured everything so well :)

  2. All the necessary elements were there – a beautiful couple + good friends + good food + an amazing setting = a moment to remember. Thanks for capturing it all and being there with us!

  3. Beautiful pictures GH Kim!!! You did am amazing job capturing the essence of the whole wedding. It was great to have you both there and to catch up as well! :)

  4. thanks for taking such beautiful pictures for us on our wedding day! looking at these pictures brings us warm and fuzzy feelings all over again. we’re so glad that you guys were there with us. thanks again.

  5. Thanks, Grace & Hun! :) You guys are so amazing and are great people to work with. I appreciate you being there every second, even aside from your jobs as photographers — bringing me iced tea right before I walked down the aisle so I could relax and then helping me clean it up when I spilled some on my dress :P We were blessed to have you there! Can’t wait to see the rest of them! :) Thanks for capturing it all!

  6. Hey! Have you been playing around with a tilt-shift lens? Hahah some of those images remind me of that. Andrew just bought one and we still haven’t figured out how to use it! HAHAH!

Beautiful jobl! I can’t help but be constantly drawn back to your pictures. :) I do hope, one day, our pictures can be as beautiful and as clean as yours! :) Still working hard at it…

  7. Hi Amy! Yes, we have a tilt-shift but we use it sparingly. :) Just experiment/practice with the different settings to achieve how you want it to look, and you’ll get it. :)
